Module 2: Who is a Leader? / GESI Perspectives on Leadership

Course Description

This module explores leadership qualities and introduces John Maxwell’s 21 Qualities and 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership. It also examines gender, social inclusion, and leadership through GESI (Gender Equality and Social Inclusion) perspectives.

Overview

The module defines key concepts such as sex and gender, and examines gender stereotyping as well as social constructs of masculinity and femininity. It further explores gender equity, gender equality, affirmative action, and the challenges faced by women in leadership.

It also introduces feminist theory and the concept of male feminism, emphasizing the importance of inclusive leadership practices in contemporary society.
